Me, myself and I

Hello again! On this page, I'm excited to share a bit about myself, delving into my aspirations, hobbies, and experiences, both in my professional and personal life.

I recently graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from UBC and am now a registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in BC. I’d like to say I was always passionate about mechanical design but that would be a lie. To be completely honest even during my studies, I wasn't entirely sure about my career path. However, everything changed during my first co-op term at FZK Engineering. It was there that I got my first taste of the design process and began working with CAD/CAM software. Since then, I've tailored my courses and work experiences to focus more on design.

At this point, I'm proficient in various design software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Fusion360. My hands-on, 'Do it yourself!' approach has led me to spend countless hours in machine shops, allowing me to create precise production documents, conduct FEA analyses, and guide products from conception to completion. While I won't delve into the specifics of my skills and experiences here (you can find that in my resume), I want to emphasize that design work is now my passion, and I hope it continues to play a significant role in both my professional and personal life.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I'm passionate about various things. I enjoy swimming and cooking, and I'm actively involved in creating content for YouTube. As a huge basketball fan, my YouTube content revolves around the NBA. If you have a game you'd like to discuss or a great recipe you might want to share, I'm all ears! Feel free to reach out using the contact information provided.

I've attached my resume below, but keep in mind that there are several links in it. For a seamless exploration of my qualifications, I recommend checking out the actual file.

Cheers,

Emir.
